To deliver on these exciting new challenges, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Finance Analyst to ensure all financial obligations relating to the recovery of Project expenditure are met in accordance with the Franchise Agreement.

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to ensure cashflow is managed appropriately and that Projects are delivering in line with their financial targets.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the role involves:

• Updating and maintaining Project’s reconciliations and claims;
• Undertaking month end tasks to ensure the integrity and accuracy of numbers for month end reports;
• Preparing and populating monthly financial reports for Project Managers on a timely basis;
• Working with the Project Managers to determine budget numbers and validating forecasts;
• Developing financial models to assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes.

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or related discipline;
• Membership to (or in the final stages of obtaining) the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CPA Australia or their international equivalents;
• At least 3 years’ experience at an operational or corporate level in accounting;
• Strong excel and presentation skills;
• Strong communication skills and experience in explaining financial information to stakeholders;
• Proven experience in financial reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in complex and faced paced project environments;
• Proven skills in the use of accounting and asset management systems such as Adaptive Insights, Business Objects, Microsoft Dynamics GP and Maximo.
