To deliver on these exciting new challenges, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Finance Analyst to support the end to end finance process for the Z&A Life Extension Project (ZALEP) on a monthly basis.

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to support the successful delivery of the ZALEP Project.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, Projects, the role involves:

• Maintaining the Forecast Cost at Completion (FCAC) model;
• Undertaking Month End reporting and planning activities;
• Ensuring compliance with all Projects financial obligations within the Franchise Agreement;
• Developing detailed forecasts and budgets with stakeholder buy-in;
• Ensuring effective cashflow management through the submission of claims and invoices.

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications within accounting, finance or business management;
• Membership (or in the final stages of obtaining membership) to the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CPA Australia or their international equivalents;
• Strong communication skills and proven experience in explaining financial information to stakeholders;
• Proven experience in financial reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting;
• Strong excel and presentation skills;
• Ability to complete effective financial analysis to enable informed decisions to be made;
• Proven ability to manage monthly reconciliations, workorder completion and cost allocation accuracy.
