Yacht Management South Florida Hiring for Marine Travel Lift Operator at Fort Lauderdale, FL Full Time

EXPERIENCED MARINETRAVEL LIFT OPERATOR

Yacht Management is looking for a qualified, experienced Marine Travel Lift Operator for our 80-ton marine travel lift. We are also adding a new 150-ton lift in 2024.

We are a full-service boatyard on the New River in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and haul approximately 300 boats a year for bottom jobs and service.

Specific Job Duties

• Responsible for removal of vessels from water, using movable lift crane to haul and launch boats up to 100’
• Positions and secures blocking at bottom and sides of vessels according to size, weight, and weight distribution of vessels, using fasteners, hand tools, and power tools.
• Handles lines and has on-the water and boat handling experience.
• Pressure washes boats after haul outs.
• Manages yard space allocation.
• Follow defined instructions and procedures.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain safe, clean work area.
• Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
• Operates forklift for various functions.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment and trouble shoots problems.
• Maintains awareness of and consistently practices safe work habits.
• Performs heavy lifting, climbing, and carrying during job process.
• Lift and/or move at least 25 lbs. independently.
• Be able to walk and stand more than 2/3 of the day.
• Work in outdoor conditions, heat and cold.
• Work near moving mechanical parts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.50 per hour
