About the opportunity

This will be a 12 – 18 month Fixed Term position.

Join our Xplor Education Vertical as Product Manager in Melbourne to make a real impact every day. We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every code line we write and every interface we design is another opportunity for us to enrich our customers’ experiences.

Our mission in the Product team at Xplor Education is to empower our team members to think deeply and solve problems in ways that prioritise customer experience while delivering business value. We solve problems that combine experience, behaviour, compliance, ethics, pedagogy, policy, business, and technology. You will encounter problems that are based on very well-defined user experience patterns, and problems that require an open mind and a creative touch.

This role is perfect for someone who is comfortable working end-to-end on the product development lifecycle and has a few years of experience working as a product manager. You will be keen to work on opportunity spaces that range from big hairy undefined problems, all the way down to small experiments. Measuring the impact of your decisions along the way.

For this position, we offer a hybrid and flexible working model, where you’ll spend three days a week working from home and two working from the office which is located in the Melbourne CBD.

Core Responsibilities

• Write, plan and prioritise user stories.
• Analyse customer problems, review customer feedback and help prioritise solutions.
• Understand user needs and balance those with technical and business requirements.
• Develop innovative solutions to our user’s problems, delivering immediate benefit.
• Brief new product ideas into development teams.
• Conduct data collection and analysis to measure and track our success.
• Assist in planning and executing the product roadmap.
• Be a proactive member of Xplor, helping cultivate a culture that reflects our brand values.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of our products, services and promotions.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through to release and iteration.
• Implement data-driven strategies to measure success in various ways that ensure customer success and our business goals.
• Communicate our product vision, roadmap and releases to stakeholders and the wider business.
• Test, plan and release new features and products and iterate quickly.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders in engineering, commercial and the wider Xplor business.
• Identify and quantify the value of existing and new opportunities to help contribute to future initiative planning.
• Contribute to the setting and adherence to project timelines and work capacity planning within the product and design teams.
• Help maintain our Customer Feedback channels such as NPS, Feature Request Voting and App Store Reviews.

Qualifications

What would make me a good candidate?

• At least 2 years of previous experience in a technical or product role.
• Experience in delivering software in agile teams
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
• Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
• Be flexible, innovative and above all driven to make a difference.
