About the opportunity

You’ll join our People team — tthe team that provides the support and expertise the business needs to manage, grow and evolve their operations. You’ll work hand in hand with internal stakeholders to help them overcome obstacles by understanding their unique goals and challenges, so they can focus on what really matters – helping our customers succeed.

Reporting into HR Director, you’ll help us understand and execute people strategies as it relates to current and future talent needs, engagement, retention, and succession planning for a designated group as well as ensure operational excellence in the APAC region. Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:

• Act as a trusted advisor to Management Team for employment relations matters
• Ensure process integrity and compliance to regional policies
• Participate in the development and implementation of People initiatives, policies, processes and management tools across the range of People functions
• Advise and guide Management Team to understand, implement and embed People processes around performance, discipline, and talent management
• Facilitate coaching and performance processes, providing one-on-one support to Management Team as needed
• Establish and maintain a strong, trusting relationship with all team members. Act as a resources for team members to share concerns and potential areas for improvements, using feedback to help influence people initiatives.
• Maintain a pulse on the workplace culture. Address concerns with applicable management, providing feedback and recommendations where needed.
• Engage with new joiners throughout their onboarding process to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

What would make me a good candidate?

• Proven HR generalist and delivery experience in a growing and changing environment (bonus if you’ve worked in Tech before).
• Experience supporting diverse groups in a matrix organisation.
• Ability to address wide range of People issues and to recommend and deliver appropriate strategies and innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills –credibility with stakeholders both inside and outside the HR team.
• Strong knowledge of ANZ employment legislations and its practical application
• Proactive, team player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change.
• An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Motivated by a fast-paced evolving where you will have to constantly adapt – no two days are the same!
