About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well established and growing Engineering Consultancy firm based on the outskirts of Bath. We are looking for a driven and conscientious individual to join our team as an Junior Software Developer where they will provide software development and programming support to Digital Delivery Team.

This individual be working on, and towards the completion of a Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship, supported by the organisations dedicated apprenticeship provider. The successful candidate will follow a fully supported training programme with training partnership, delivered through combined classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide programming support to the digital delivery team.
• Communicate all programming results through verbal and non-verbal communication, using reports and technical documentation. Ensure messages are easily understood and tailored to audience.
• Store, manage and share data securely in a compliant manner.
• Collaborate with personnel both internally and externally at all levels with a view to create efficiencies.
• Play an integral part in research and development to help develop solutions and achieve improvements for the organisation.
• Providing Quality Assurance.
• Support a variety of technical meetings through the prior internal preparation stages, minute taking and minute distribution.
• Make amendments to bespoke maintenance databases.
• Interpreting and manipulating technical data.
• Providing additional admin support to the office when required.
• Represent the organisation within the customers environment or in the presence of customers.
• Practice continuous self-learning to keep up to date with technological developments to enhance relevant skills and take responsibility for own professional development.
• To work in accordance with the ‘Xpedite Insights’.
