The role offers the chance to familiarise yourself with new systems and assist in delivering high-quality software solutions to the UK’s fastest growing independent provider for small to medium sized enterprises (that’s us!). We’re looking for someone who is team-oriented, quality-minded, and ready to get stuck in on a pipeline of new and exciting projects. This is a crucial position within XLN, vital in all stages of test management and in assuring the quality of critical business systems. You’ll work closely with our team of developers and business analysts to deliver valuable working software using agile processes. You’ll be a key member of our cross-functional department, building cutting-edge system solutions using AWS. You’ll also get the opportunity to establish new ways of working and to provide training and support to peer QA’s.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have 2+ years’ hands-on commercial experience testing software systems
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in IT systems or significant industry experience
• Have experience in designing test strategies/scenarios
• Possess experience in executing functional/integration /regression tests within specified timelines
• Be able to demonstrate working knowledge in SQL query language, writing queries and understanding data structures with a grasp of relational databases
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally
• Have any experience of API testing and automation for regression testing
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
