The purpose of this role is to support the HR Lead in talent acquisition, execute the end-to-end recruiting process and sourcing strategy to ensure the selection of best talents for AXA XL’s operations in Australia. A generalist with client facing capabilities, equipped with relationship building and communication skills to support the HR team in strengthening employee experience and employee engagement.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Responsible for the end to end recruitment including advertising positions, reviewing and shortlisting resumes, booking and coordination of interviews
• Liaise with recruitment agents or advertising companies, screen applications and arrange interviews.
• Managing positive candidate relationships and experiences for all internal and external candidates
• Conduct interviews and provide support to Hiring Manager with interview questions
• Drive an Inclusive recruitment process and by ensuring to adhere to the AXA XL’s diverse recruitment policy
• Regularly update and monitoring recruitment status on the Recruitment system (Taleo)
• Generate and process new hire forms, terminations/replacements in accordance with approval from the HRM and/or relevant HRBP; and Inform HR Operations in a timely and accurate manner on updates to employee records in myHR database.
• Prepare new joiner documentations, employment contracts and conduct online background checks through Sterling
• Ensure managers are completing probation reviews for new starters
• Arrange and conduct HR orientation for new hires
• Collate and prepare data to produce HR metrics such as time to hire rate, cost per hire, employee referrals etc
• Updating the monthly recruitment tracker for the Country Manager
• Ensure that, as an AXA XL employee, you are representing the organisation in a professional and appropriate manner
• Participate actively in employee engagement activities.
• Any other Adhoc tasks or projects

We’re looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills:

• The role requires individuals of Graduate / Diploma certification in Human Resources. The ideal candidate preferably to have accomplished / be working towards industry recognised professional qualification e.g. AHRI Certified Practitioner / Post graduate diploma in HR / Masters in HR
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Generalist HR role/ recruitment role
• Experience using Taleo would be advantageous but not essential
• Must have permanent working rights for Australia
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company
• Able to organise self (and others if applicable) including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude
• Accountable and able to take ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Excel, Outlook, Word
