DESCRIPTION

Xenomics is recruiting a Software Engineer familiar with Python who will develop, collect, document, and implement new and existing functions through web-based software applications to support a clinical laboratory. Developed applications will be utilized for lab operations and organization of clinical data.

Experience working in a regulated environment with thorough knowledge of Test Engineering best practices and technical expertise is required. This role requires someone adept in system architecture, design, and implementation to succinctly develop tailored test strategiesand deliver quality software products meeting regulatory standards. The candidate should have the aptitude to work on parallel projects with overlapping schedules, quickly learn new technologies, demonstrate teamwork and technical leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and extend the applications RESTful web service / APIs in Python.
• Use Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker Containers.

• Implement features end-end from user interface through persistent storage.

• Provide high-quality written documentation and specifications of software products and services for use in a regulated environment such as IVD or CLIA.

• Interface with other teams to obtain requirements and support deployed applications.

• Ability and desire to work on all aspects of software development in an agile environment including documentation, design, development, and testing of features and sub-systems.

• Create and implement software and databases in contribution to bioinformatics, processing, and analysis systems.

• Plan and execute features such as visualizations, algorithms, and data structures and add modifications to current scientific web-based applications

• Ensure thorough verification and validation of Xenomics’ code

• Collaborate with others in designing experiments supporting results of new bioinformatic algorithms.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related study or equivalent project experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Thorough understanding of Python and Django.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

• $80,000+ dependent upon experience
