Seeking an experienced software development engineer to solve next-generation challenges in
LiDAR sensing for the autonomous automotive market. You will be working with a team of
LiDAR data scientists and signal processing engineers to develop software applications, tools,
and utilities for producing world-class automotive LiDAR point clouds. Candidates must have
strong software development skills with strong skills in Matlab and/or Python along with strong
skills in C/C++. Prior experience working with computer vision, image processing, and/or point
cloud processing is highly desirable. Familiarity with standard software development processes,
configuration management, and source control tools, such as Git, will be critical. Must be able to
work in a SAFe/Agile development environment.
Responsibilities:
? Implement and/or develop LiDAR software applications and signal processing tools
operating on low-level sensor data as well as point cloud data for a state-of-the-art
LiDAR to support L4/L5 autonomous driving
? Develop MATLAB applications and tools for generating point clouds from raw sensor
data, maintain LiDAR signal processing pipeline
? Develop C/C++ libraries and/or routines for fast data processing, real-time visualization
? Develop automated unit- and integration-testing tools and utilities to support rapid,
accurate LiDAR algorithm development
? Develop automated scoring/metrics tools for measuring point cloud performance
? Work with tools such as MATLAB Coder for auto code generation
? Develop scripting tools in Python and/or within the CI/CD and Git framework
? Work with and manipulate 3D point cloud data, extract useful features from point cloud
data, develop automated target extraction tools
? Collaborate with other teams within the organization, including low-level hardware,
firmware, perception, and manufacturing groups
Minimum Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering with 5+ years of work
experience

? Knowledgeable in computer architecture, multi-threaded/multi-core programming,
embedded architecture
? Proficient working with MATLAB, Python
? Experience with C++ and OOA/OOD development
? Experience working with CI/CD scripting
? Able to develop scripts/utilities with Python
? Ability to develop networking applications according to IEEE 802.3 using SDKs such as
libpcap to develop UDP, TCP packet parsing tools
? Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
? Strong knowledge of source control and versioning using GitHub
? Familiarity with software development within a SaFE/Agile environment and able to
participate in a SCRUM process
? Ability to successfully collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
? Strong communication skills and able to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering with 5+ years of work
experience
? Prior experience or exposure to embedded systems development
? Familiarity with point cloud processing algorithms and experience working with
associated tools and libraries
? Experience using MATLAB Coder, Embedded Coder
? Experience or knowledge in the area of robotics, computer vision, image processing
? Basic mathematics knowledge in linear algebra, statistics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,355.62 – $163,961.32 per year
