A bit about the role

A fantastic opportunity exists for highly motivated, passionate, and community-focused people to join our exciting Child and Family Support team. Your innovative and inquisitive mindset will be fully encouraged in this capacity by a cooperative and solution-focused team.

You will work as part of a team that contributes positively to the operational success of the Community Support Department through the provision of administrative and customer service support to ensure that Wyndham residents have access to services for children and families in an efficient and effective manner that complies with legislative and Council requirements and procedures.

To assist us in continuing to provide our community with a remarkable customer experience, we are searching for someone who possesses great administrative and customer service abilities with a high attention to details. You will also bring the ability to communicate well with families, co-workers, and leaders, working well within a team atmosphere.

What you’ll deliver

• Contribute to a collaborative, solution-focused positive team culture and foster strong stakeholder relationships
• Quality administrative support, ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner
• A continuous improvement outlook to support colleagues and members of the community
• Empathetic and friendly approach, to supporting our community members in accessing services that are responsive to their needs

What you’ll bring

• Capacity to resolve complex problems and prioritise work in a high-pressured setting
• Strong communication and data entry skills
• High-level customer service and problem-resolution skills
• Ability to adapt to change with a positive mindset and openness
• Knowledge and understanding of computer systems and the ability to learn other software programs
• Ability to organise and control own workload and time to achieve specified outputs
• Certificate in Administration or relevant experience and current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
