WSECU’s IT operations team is focused on providing top tier services to our most valued asset, our members. As a member of the Architecture Team, you will contribute to the success of WSECU by working closely with our technical and business partners, providing technical leadership for software architecture, development, and integration. The Software Architect possesses a high degree of knowledge in the software engineering domain, strong writing and communication skills, and experience consulting with various stakeholders, executive to staff levels, in software solutions.

Your day might include:

• Working as a team player building cohesion as a high performer in the Architecture Team
• Being passionate about your technical craft and its value proposition for our credit union members and business
• Promoting a culture of shared ownership of the architecture; no ivory towers here
• Serving as a technical liaison for various technical teams to our line of business partners; enabling the lines of business to leverage the COTS, custom software solutions and integrations in our enterprise environment
• Closely collaborating with other domain and solution architects to support and manage our enterprise application portfolio
• Researching, designing, modeling, prototyping, consulting, and documenting software architectures and solutions
• Creating and supporting software and integration standards
• Promoting and supporting best practices in software development and architecture with other software engineers

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science or closely a related field with at least seven years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A learning and innovative mindset, not afraid the challenge the status quo
• Strong understanding of systems and software architecture practices
• Ability to design and document highly complex systems
• Ability to gather and analyze requirements from business users
• Strong knowledge of software development, integration, and testing technologies
• Strong experience with full-stack software languages; preferably (C# or Java), JavaScript, CSS, SQL
• Strong experience with software development and support tools (Visual Studio, Git, TFS, JIRA)
• Solid experience in agile software development
• Basic understanding of server and networking technologies and their support of software development and solutions

Bonus points if you have:

• Credit union or financial services experience
• Core or digital banking platform development and integration experience
• Experience API management and modeling; preferably Azure API Management and OpenAPI
• Experience with other DevOps or automation tools
• Professional IT architecture related certifications

Competitive pay: $109,319 – $163,978, DOQ, dependent on applicable qualifications

When you’d work: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with on call hours and scheduling flexibility required to meet service needs for this full time Exempt position.
