Wright Manufacturing’s entry-level Engineering Technician position would be a great opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically inclined, self-starter, and motivated individual.

We are a soup to nuts company where metal comes in one door and finished products go out the other, and we are seeking a creative and motivated person to play an active role in supporting the initiatives of our Engineering team.

Starting between $18-20 / hour

Responsibilities

Candidates for our Engineering Technician should be able to demonstrate proficiency in :

• Mechanical, hands-on assistance in the R&D shop
• Manage field test program
• Assisting with the building of prototypes
• Conducting standard testing on prototypes
• Lead shop 5S
• In charge of shop safety
• Keep shop clean and organized
• Familiar with Fuel / Engine (15-40HP) systems
• Mechanical power transmission (Belt / Gear / Hydro)
• Hands-on mechanical skills for prototype development
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in related field preferred
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-starter work ethic
• Process thinking mindset

Additional Preferred Experience in :

• Understanding of Lean principles and methodology
• Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, sensors, computers, cabling, and wire routing
• Experience working in mechanical shop
• Welding experience preferred
• Fabrication experience preferred
• Experience in conducting tool calibrations
• Ability to work with various measurement tools / devices
• Familiar with Mill, Lathe, and band saw operation
