The Opportunity

As a Database Engineer in the back office team, you contribute in developing our core back-office system processing millions of electronic payments reliably per day for our merchants to process face-face transactions as well as e-com. Based on our DevOps approach this includes designing, implementing and running our application to maintain and strengthen our world leading position this Run and Build.

Your day- to -day responsibilities include

• Contribution in building stable and at the same time state-of-the-art systems.
• Working in an Agile DevOps team that accompanies features from analysis, design, implementation, functional testing to operation and support (incl. stand-by).
• Bringing in your enthusiasm to try out and use Leading Edge technologies and to learn a lot in the process.
• Develop high-performance data handling processes in Oracle
• Design reports and data exports for our customers
• Develop and support universes in SAP BO

• Very good Oracle, PL/SQL knowledge is a must

Skills we’d like:

• Experience with SAP BO or Database administration
• Java or Powercenter would be a plus
• Practical knowledge with versioning, preferably GIT
• Experience with Docker / Openshift
• Computer Science Education (College, University)
• Experience in Agile software development
• Familiarity with Clean Code principles
