World Energy Services Hiring for Solar Sales (Commercial) at Massachusetts Full Time

Specifically, projects include commercial, industrial, and municipal building energy and air quality assessments, project scope development, equipment specifications and ROI analysis. We work with local utilities along with State and Federal grant, tax and incentives programs to maximize available customer benefits and provide turnkey project solutions for our customers. Headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, with branch office located in Cromwell, World Energy is primarily focused on serving commercial, industrial, and municipal customers in Southern New England. This position will to the Worcester headquarters.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Sales Professional, also known as our Energy Specialist, who is excited about World Energy’s value proposition and is ready to be part of the best ESCO team in the region. A strategic, critical thinker and master of sales, the Energy Specialist will drive World Energy’s growth through targeted direct sales.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is able to tap into their Northeast market expertise and engage key partners. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

The position may require travel throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island to visit customers, conduct commercial Solar on-site assessments, and propose projects via a consultative sales process to close deals. Ideally, this position will have a more narrow geographic focus, but flexibility is inherent to the position.

Position has a base salary determined by related and relevant experience plus a lucrative and uncapped commission plan. A qualified and driven candidate can earn $100,000 – $150,000 in total compensation in their first full year. With the uncapped lucrative commission plan, earning potential is limitless.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop a solid understanding of World Energy’s product offering portfolio with a focus on Solar project development and sales

· Develop Solar solutions proposals, designs and costs using World Energy proprietary software

· Articulate project scope, costs, energy savings, incentives and simple payback to commercial & industrial customers

· Obtain Customer signature to proceed forward

· Provide a clear and concise turn-over to the Project Management team for implementation

· Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results s

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

Requirements:

· Results oriented – track record of delivering solar sales results, takes ownership and is accountable

· Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is a plus but not required

· 3 – 5 years of directly related sales experience is highly preferred

· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects in various stages

· Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

· Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
