About The Role

As the incumbent in this role, your primary responsibility will be to plan and schedule the production assembly process in order to optimise operational efficiency and minimise inventory investment. Your goal will be to ensure high levels of customer service by fulfilling customer inventory and requirements. This will involve close collaboration with various internal departments on a daily basis, focusing on production planning elements such as sequencing, prioritising, raw materials, purchase components, packaging, and more.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviewing planned orders and generating production orders utilising the ERP system
• Providing estimated time of arrivals (ETA) to the customer service department and promptly communicating any deviations
• Achieving the established Inventory Fill-On-Time (IFOT) targets
• Prioritising critical manufactured items and ensuring their availability
• Collaborate with relevant store personnel to investigate and address any inaccuracies in stock records
• Optimise inventory investment to ensure exceptional customer service levels and operational efficiencies are maintained
• Collaborate with relevant personnel to ensure accurate maintenance of bill of materials and/or routings
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing production information systems, including ERPLX and MATTEC, aligning with organisational objectives

Selection Criteria

• Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning
• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management from APICS (Association for Operations Management)
• Proficiency in using ERP systems in a fully integrated environment, along with a solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think creatively and critically
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Must be a resident of Australia
