Purpose of Role: The Sales Leader / General Manager role will lead business development and be the company’s representative, supporting and profitably growing Weir Motion Metric’s market share across the region.

You would have a keen interest in understanding the technology landscape and applications across Mine Sites and can effectively interact and communicate with key stakeholders on integrating Weir Motion Metrics into the technological landscape.

You would be interested in pursuing front line sales initially and have the ambition to grow the sales and service team in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales: Maintains and updates strategic business plans for regional and account growth, submits AFE’s in support of business growth. Routinely meets with the management group to develop sales strategies and goals to support local and division markets. Build and manage a sales team. Prospect for sales opportunities, submit proposals/tenders, meet with prospective clients and close deals. Travel to client/prospective client sites, often in different states and remote locations. Attend technical trade shows, write technical case studies and presentations.

Technical Support: Build and manage a technical services team. Ensure training and safety standards are maintained during all field activities. As time permits, assist with the remote monitoring, troubleshooting and routine support of existing installations

Weir Group collaboration: Collaborates with ESCO’s regional sales team to grow Motion Metrics share across the region. Interacts with internal and external managers, leads, peers, and customers to support sales objectives, develop opportunities, and plan processes.

Job Knowledge/Education And Qualifications

Degree in mining, engineering, business administration or equivalent field with professional certification in a technical discipline (electrical) and 5 years of proven mining industry experience.

Knowledge of the latest digital and mining technologies.

Awareness of the ESG agenda and the ability to articulate how current and future Weir solutions can and will contribute in positive ways towards best for business ESG outcomes.

Must be self-disciplined, willing and able to work under minimal supervision in a productive and professional manner.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background checks (including pre-employment medical).
