Finance Solution Consultants leverage their in-depth product knowledge of Workday’s Financial Management enterprise software and industry knowledge to provide deep functional expertise throughout the sales process. Solution Consultants partner with Account Executives to engage in discovery around an organization’s current environment and deliver relevant, impactful presentations and product demonstrations that illustrate how Workday’s Enterprise applications can address requirements, solve business concerns, and create value.
About the Role
Workday’s ANZ business has seen significant growth in the last two years. And we expect this to accelerate even more as the region adjusts to the pandemic. As we continue to strengthen our position in this key market, there is an increased opportunity to expand our Finance and Planning business that Workday offers. Increasingly, organisations that want to transform the way they operate are replacing legacy systems with Workday’s SaaS Enterprise Management applications.
To capitalise on the opportunities in this market and to scale the sales support and customer engagements to new levels, Workday is looking to augment our team with Presales Solution Consultants who can drive further success for Workday. Workday is looking for an experienced, senior level Presales Solution Consultant for our Financial Management team. This is your chance to represent and demonstrate next generation Financial Applications. Through pre-sales discovery meetings you will analyse an organisation’s current operations and business needs then develop and present Workday’s cutting-edge Financial Management solutions to address their requirements.

Responsibilities
As a Presales Solution Consultant, you are essential to the sales cycle and play an important role on the Sales team. You will use your subject matter expertise in the domain to provide support to the Sales team and help drive the sale by providing influence and credibility to C-level executives and Finance teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
Opportunity support activity to prospective Finance clients and customers
Participating in discovery workshops with users to formulate and document business requirements, including business processes, procedures and work practices
Assisting in the development of winning and differentiating value propositions and themes/messaging to customers, in collaboration with the sales team
Developing and championing Workday-based solutions to client problems, communicating them with the customer, implementation partners and internal stakeholders. This may involve various formats/viewpoints, such as process flows, context diagrams, functional/technical descriptions and recordings and functional demonstrations
Leading RFP/RFI responses and develop solution overviews that map customer’s business initiatives to the Workday solution
Preparing for and conducting winning demonstrations of the Workday solution to create impact in customer evaluation processes; demonstrating to the value proposition and customer expectations
Building expertise in specific industries and presenting the value of Workday solutions to customers in those industries
Building trusted-advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders who are influencers and decision-makers in an evaluation process
Researching and highlighting the advantages of the Workday product and capability over legacy ERP and other SaaS systems
Continuously upgrading your skillsets and knowledge through the learning opportunities provided by Workday
Relevant Presales and/or Services Consulting or other technical roles, with sufficient levels of experience in the ANZ region or experience working in the Finance and Accounting functions of corporations
5+ years experience in Finance systems and/or processes
Expert knowledge of Finance Administration and Accounting (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Multi-Company and Consolidations, Multi-Currency)
Strong understanding of additional Finance-related functions such as Procurement, Project Costing is beneficial
Exposure to Financial Management solutions from Workday, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft or similar would be an advantage
Ability to lead solutioning efforts with team members and/or Workday partners, to design and position comprehensive legacy-ERP replacement solutions
Experience in engagements with medium-sized and large enterprises in Australia and New Zealand, cutting across one or more of the following industries – FSI, Higher Education, Healthcare, Government and Public Services, Retail, Professional Services etc.
Ability to hold engage and create impact in C-level customer engagements (especially to the office of the CFO), with ability to communicate influentially and eventually develop a trusted-advisor relationship

· You possess credibility and passion for presentations and product demonstrations
around Finance technology solutions
· You have strong functional knowledge and experience gained through roles such as Finance practitioner, Financial enterprise solution Pre-Sales / Sales Consultant, and/or have a background in Finance enterprise application implementation
· You are passionate about working in a high-growth, evolving organisation like Workday and believe that organisations can advance and grow by adopting Workday solutions
· You like to continuously learn and upgrade your skillsets; you like to innovate in your activities and be creative in your presentations
· You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple, simultaneous engagements with different prospects
