Onboard and offboard all Australian-based employees (e.g. conducting background checks, conducting new hire day 1 orientation, ensuring timely enrolment of employees into our payroll system, provisioning of new hire kit, answering queries from new hires)
Identify opportunities for employee engagement and organise projects / events that allow employees to interact and bond (online and/or in person)
Champion employee wellness (physical and mental health) by organising a calendar of events and incentives as part of the company’s WorkatoFit program
Ensure operational efficiency in the company’s day to day activities which include but not limited to the following: working with our payroll team to get payroll processed on a timely basis; assist with office management (e.g. monitoring and ordering office supplies, restocking pantry); and coordinating travel plans for employees travelling within Australia, and those travelling in/out of Australia
Support the Country Manager of Australia in executive administrative work
Proactively review existing programs, systems and processes and create new and improved ways of working, tapping on Workato’s product to integrate and automate work whenever possible
Support the Country Manager of Australia, and the APJ Head of People Operations in strategic planning and forecasting on human-resource related issue
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition and Marketing teams to design employer branding campaigns and materials to increase awareness of Workato as a company
3 to 5 years of experience in HR and People Operations work in Australia
Good understanding of Australian labour law and legislation
Experience managing and influencing stakeholders across various seniority levels
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey and relate ideas to others and work collaboratively to get things done.
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills
A self-starter who is highly adaptable, and able to deliver quality outcomes at speed
