• OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

Radiant Global Logistics has a fast-paced environment and are looking to expand our staff by adding a Customer Service Specialist in domestic operations for our Alexandria, VA location. The candidate preferably will have at least a year of prior freight forwarding experience. This individual will effectively and efficiently oversee that all domestic shipments are delivered to customers in a timely manner. Also, in this role you must work to effectively get customer shipments entered in the system, scheduled with customers, provide updates to customers via email or phone, locate empty returns to depots, and bill accordingly.

• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

In this position, the Customer Service Specialist is responsible for:

• Arranging shipments, entering the shipment information from customer int our TM software (this is heavy data entry)
• Entering quotes and sending to customers
• Maintain customer files (to include creating contracts, quotes, etc.)
• Provide customers with tracking updates.
• Answer general inquiries from customers by email and phone, very heavy email volumes.
• Research / gather information to assist exhibitors with arranging shipments.
• Assist in operational duties (calling agents for updates/getting charges/quotes, etc.) to provide information to customers.
• Assist with special projects or other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Prior Logistics experience, preferably freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, and Excel
• We use SAP TM (freight specific) for setting up and managing our shipments.
• Superior attention to detail is mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to follow up.
• Dependability and professionalism.
• Must have a positive, outgoing personality and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills – which includes the ability to work well with customers and colleagues of various backgrounds and cultures.
• Be focused, a self-starter and able to effectively prioritize work projects and manage time under rigid deadlines.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure is of the utmost importance.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
