About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst – Capital and End to End Performance to join the Australian Food Financial Planning & Analysis Team. The key responsibilities of the role are to oversee capital expenditure across Australian Food (both B2C and B2B). It provides the opportunity to build an understanding of strategic projects across all parts of the Food ecosystem as well as drive and deliver insightful analysis on business performance.

It is an exciting role that directly partners the Finance Director – Australian Food in understanding strategic initiatives and their direct impact on business performance. The role provides great exposure across the key senior leaders of the business (Exco members and Food Finance Leadership team) and an opportunity to understand how leadership and the Board are thinking about the business strategically and financially.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Engage with and influence a broad range of stakeholders including finance and senior business leaders to organise and chair the monthly Supermarkets Investment Council, attended by Supermarkets ExCo, Food Finance Director and the Finance Leadership Team.
• Perform and communicate monthly/quarterly analysis and insights including capital, project benefits and depreciation for Australian Food. Proactively liaise with relevant teams to drive the forecast and insights. Contribute to the Group Quarterly Investment Cycle and relevant TO forums
• Play a key role in the broader FP&A team on E2E insights and analysis across Food Group including competitor analysis, macro-economic analysis and other topical business insights.
• Lead and design the 3 year capital strategic planning process, working closely with finance and business teams.
• Lead the 3 year strategic planning process for depreciation and amortisation for Supermarkets and Australian Food including insights into key drivers and consideration of how our investment profile will impact future growth rates for depreciation
• Perform monthly forecasting of capital and D&A with key insights into drivers of the result and communication to key business stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous process improvement and lead change to implement these improvements
• Drive robust financial processes and strong internal controls, ensuring integrity in our underlying systems and data

About You

• 4-5 years post qualified experience
• Strong communication ability and sound interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation and storyboarding skills, including making the complex simple
• Strong organisational and effective time management skills
• Strong commercial awareness, business acumen and partnering skills
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
