About The Procurement Team

Woolworths Group’s Procurement team is a Group wide function providing thought leadership, best practice procurement methods and delivering a service that adds value to our business partners across the Group. The team is positioned to drive change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussed on providing excellent experiences to Team (stakeholders) and Customers.

About The Role

The Portfolio Manager – Media & Print will manage the portfolio of ~$800 million p.a. in collaboration with the team, business, and supplier stakeholders to execute the Woolworths Procurement Strategy. This category has depth and breadth, including omnichannel media campaigns (including creative, activation and media buying for both physical and digital mediums) and encompasses all our leading Brand Banners.

ing to the Head of Procurement – Digital, Media & Technology, you’ll be responsible for:

• the end-to end procurement lifecycle including large scale and enterprise-wide projects that influence Woolworths Group
• the application of best practice procurement to influence stakeholders and domestic and international supplier partners for optimal outcomes
• unlock value and drive continuous improvement for our stakeholders
• deliver the annual sourcing plan and meet the team’s Organisational Key Results (OKRs) to increase value across ‘goods not for resale’ (GNFR) Marketing and Print goods and services spend
• lead a team of 3-4 procurement professionals to develop and execute the category strategies and sourcing initiatives to deliver best total value outcomes
• provide high levels of stakeholder satisfaction and compliance with procurement policies, standards and processes

About You

We are looking forward to hearing how you may have demonstrated these capabilities whilst also thinking about your relevant experience. You will have:

• Tertiary qualified in Procurement
• Proven experience in a similar procurement or commercial leading role
• Preferred relevant professional accreditation or certification, such as MCIPS
• Proven detailed experience of contracting marketing and print good and
• Structured negotiation approach (e.g. GAP) to major strategic and complex deals that delivered significant commercial outcomes
• Expert in category management principles and processes with an understanding of contract law
• Proven experience in leading a multi-million dollar spend portfolio across a large, matrixed organisation and geography including the development and execution of sourcing strategies
• Proven track record in delivering significant and sustainable EBITDA benefits year on year.
• Proficient in collaboration software tools such as Google Suite, Trello, Jam Boa would be benefical
