The Opportunity

12month Fixed Term Contract with potential to be made permanent

The Communications Coordinator supports the Communications Team with the WFC Brand Team to build, preserve and share brand knowledge, content and assets, working cross functionally across all teams, to support campaigns and activations of the WFC own brands.

This entry role is a transversal role within the Woolworths Food Company Brand team, providing a unique opportunity to integrate and work across the various Woolworths Food Co brands (Woolworths Core, Macro, Plantitude, etc.) and categories. This role will look to support the Comms Team in integrating our brands into mass-media activity and launching standalone campaigns into the market to support our brands – this is a critical year for WFC and this role will provide pivotal support to bring our brands to life. This is a great opportunity for a junior marketer with a passion for creative, communications and media to step in the Woolworths business and learn fast, with opportunities for career development within the role and team for the right candidate.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support the team on all aspects of creative development include visibility (opportunity for growth and learning) on the entire process from briefing to development to launch and ing
• Support the teams in sourcing product nominations and content, for various projects such as sampling and catalogues, including ensuring that all relevant information fields are complete and accurate.
• Help lead the revolution of WFC’s presence Online including updating images, SEO-optimised copy and content which is a key strategic priority with high visibility across the business.
• Conduct basic fortnightly Market Intel & Competitor Activity ing (launches, catalogues, media etc.) as well as support in campaign ing
• Work cross functionally across all teams, you will assist the teams in the creation of new brand assets, packaging design development, online and owned campaign implementations, and internal communications update. As well as help on the maintenance and governance of brand and content assets including managing a creative asset database.
• Be responsible for the Monthly WFC Brand & Activation update, that showcases our key campaigns and initiatives to key Stakeholder in the business, which will require you to centralise all information and content, and have an acute visibility and understanding of all brand activities
• Assist in forecasting and budget tracking of miscellaneous activities.
• You will be expected to role model our purpose, values and ways of working.
• You will show flexibility, proactivity and enthusiasm to assist with other varied projects within the Brand team, including admin tasks related to the team’s meetings .

About You

• Understanding of the importance of building and protecting brands, and controlling the consistency and quality of Brand expressions (packaging & comms).

• Keen eye for detail
• Great listener and fast learner
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously and often under pressure
• Ability to prioritise and multitask to meet deadlines

• Financial best practice – forecasting, ing (preferred but not essential)
• Tertiary education in Marketing & Communications or Marketing required
• Ideally 1-2 years Marketing/Comms experience in Corporate or Agency.
