About The Role

Due to an internal promotion in the team we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Supermarkets Finance team. You will be responsible for providing ing and analysis of actual Sales and GP for a trading department, as well as providing insightful analysis and decision support to the Merchandise Managers and Category Managers as key finance partner. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to engage end to end across the multiple business functions to drive end to end value.

In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For

• Review Sales and GP actual results on a weekly basis
• Provide insightful analysis and clear commentary by working with the Category Managers and Merchandise Managers on key drivers for performance trends
• Accurately forecast future Sales and GP for weekly outlooks, forecasts, budgeting and strategic planning processes as well as identify possible opportunities and risks
• Identify opportunities to improve category results end to end
• Partner with stakeholders to develop workable action plans in relation to adverse trends
• Identify and implement opportunities that improve processes across the Food Group Finance team

About You

In Finance we have an overarching capability framework that brings to life 5 key capabilities that shape who we are, what we do and how we work together, these are; value co-creator, inspiring leader, trusted advisor, agile learner and insights generator. We are looking forward to hearing how you may have demonstrated these capabilities and experience in the following:

• Multinational FMCG or Big 4 experience
• Supported sales teams across national retail across grocery or liquor
• Experience modelling trading terms
• Good understanding of price strategy and promo effectiveness
• Good appreciation of category management principles
• Experience in managing retail scan and coop claims funding
• CA / CPA Qualification preferred
• Strong systems experience (SAP and Business Objects preferred) and advanced excel/modelling skills
