About the role

The Talent Management Partner reports to the End to End Talent Chapter Lead and works as a squad member in the MyCareer Experience Tribe – Operations Support and Distribution Centres squad. We are focused on attracting and retaining top talent through personalised career experiences, enabled through strong talent management foundations that support Leaders to make robust talent decisions; identify and address critical role/capability gaps, and unlock career and development experiences for our team to grow and prepare for future roles.

This role is accountable for the coordination of the talent management annual cycle (including succession planning) within our Supply Chain/Primary Connect business, as well as supporting internal talent processes across other business areas, working collaboratively with our Team Experience Partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordination of end to end talent management and succession planning processes and reviews;
• (Co) Facilitation of talent reviews and calibration;
• Contributing to the design of talent frameworks and tools as a subject matter expert within the Chapter;
• Collation of talent review data and insights to inform BU people plans (incl workforce and capability plans);
• Identify talent acquisition/pipelining activities with a focus on critical roles/capabilities in collaboration with Team Experience Partners and Talent squad members;
• Facilitating immersion sessions to build Leader and Team Experience partner capabilities in talent identification and assessment and broader talent management frameworks and tools;
• Contribution to broader squad goals which may include supporting talent acquisition processes and other end-to-end talent initiatives;
• Act as a Talent Ambassador for the Group and identify opportunities to unlock talent movement and embed strong talent processes across our retail ecosystem;
• Consistently leverage systems and templates that align with, and strengthen Woolworths Group’s talent brand.

About You

You are highly collaborative and passionate about all things talent! You develop solutions that are simple and impactful and bring a strong understanding of talent management practices that are focused on unlocking the potential of our teams.

• You will bring demonstrated experience and capabilities in delivering and facilitating end-to-end talent management processes (e.g critical role identification, succession planning, performance, and potential calibration) with a solid understanding of underpinning people processes;
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills to support leadership forums and round table discussions;
• You are a problem solver at heart striving to find new ways and talent frameworks and solutions that create value;
• You are data-driven and are able to present talent insights in a compelling way to support leadership decision-making and development/capability investment;
• You take initiative and are willing and motivated to contribute to the broader end to end talent initiatives and are committed to contributing to the squad mission and goals;
• You bring change agency and curiosity to stay up to date with thought leadership and global best practice in talent management;
• Enhance the ‘felt experience’ for others through personal leadership and role modeling of our purpose, values, and ways of working;
• 5yrs+ in a Talent, OD, or HR Business Partner role with a strong talent focus and passion.
