About The Role

The Risk Analytics team helps the risk community across Woolworths Group use data to make risk-informed choices with confidence and helps them focus on what matters most. The team drives the organisation towards the effective use of data and analytics to support decision-making and early detection of issues across Woolworths Group.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insights Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and delivering actionable insights to support Woolworths Group Risk strategic objectives. You will be responsible for analysing large datasets, identifying trends, and translating complex data into meaningful s and recommendations.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Data Analysis: Utilise advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and correlations to provide actionable recommendations.
• Strategic Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into data requirements, ensuring that insights align with overall organisational goals.
• ing and Visualization: Create compelling and visually engaging s, dashboards, and presentations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Data Integrity and Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation, cleansing, and transforming processes to maintain high-quality datasets.
• Forecasting and Predictive Modelling: Develop and implement forecasting models and predictive analytics to support strategic planning and business forecasting initiatives.
• Risk Management: Understanding principles of risk management and be a thought partner across the business in identification, assessment, control, and monitoring of various material risks affecting the organisation
• Collaborative Relationships: Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, including marketing, finance, operations, and product teams, to understand their needs and provide insights that drive informed decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and data analysis techniques, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance analytical methodologies and processes

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Insights Analyst, who has proficiency in technical skills for data analysis, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in statistical analysis, data modelling, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, Google Looker).
• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business objectives, translate them into analytical requirements, and provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial, or a related field. A master’s degree would be a plus
• Team Player: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships across the organisation.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis and ing.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
