The Role
A unique opportunity to join our team as a GM strategy has become available, joining our WWNZ business as we embark on an exciting transformation journey.
The General Manager, Strategy, is the primary role within Woolworths New Zealand responsible for driving overall strategy development and providing internal strategic advisory capability across Woolworths New Zealand as well as the broader Woolworths group.
Working closely with the Woolworths New Zealand Executive and Senior Leadership Team, and partnering with the wider Woolworths Group Strategy portfolio, this role is responsible for developing and refining Woolworths New Zealand multi-year strategy and annual strategic plans, and addressing our most pressing strategic questions and priorities across all organisational domains.
This includes leading and influencing the overall strategic planning process, supporting a portfolio of key strategic projects (multiple at once), leading and developing strategy team capability, and working in the heart of accelerating retail transformation. This also includes partnering closely with the Transformation team and across the organisation to ensure that we drive effective strategy execution.
