Woods & Co has partnered with an innovative organisation working in the software and service space and a leader in advancing efficiencies and technology throughout industries like legal, government and law enforcement.

The business is looking to expand its analytics team, bringing on an ambitious and commercially savvy individual who will be providing timely financial and operational reports and analysis, giving insight into performance, and driving profitability across the business.

The successful candidate will have experience implementing new systems and providing continuous improvement to the business and international exposure across other ‘rest of world’ jurisdictions and exposure to foreign currency as well as advanced knowledge within MS Access, SQL and Salesforce in particular.

What do you do?

• Create and maintain of invoicing models ensuring accuracy and integrity of data
• Gaining expert knowledge of major court contracts in each state of Australia
• Analyse, review, and sign off on major court invoices prior to distribution
• Troubleshooting, analysing, and validating output of highly complex excel models
• Completing weekly and monthly financial reporting of the business
• Performs analysis of production costs to plan and control labour hours and profit margins
• Present a transparent financial situation to senior management, reporting by ABC
• Liaising with operational staff to understand movement in sale income and volumes

What do you need?

• Advanced Excel skills and previous experience in understanding complex Excel models
• Beginner to advanced skills in VBA and prior experience in writing VBA code
• Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Currently working towards or completed CPA, CA, CIMA or CFA certification
• Familiar with accounting concepts related to FX accounting and deferred revenue recognition
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
• High level of integrity and dependability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
• Strong drive to learn, attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
• The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
