Position details

We are looking for a Co-Director to join together with our existing Director to run this large service in Springfield. The successful applicant will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire the current team of early childhood staff along with creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with families and the surrounding community. You will coordinate all day to day Centre operations such as admin, health & safety and staff development. You will ensure strong management for the day to day operations of the centre through regular evaluation of systems and processes, as well as management of staff rosters, staff ratios and adequate supervision.

You will ensure centre and staff compliance with relevant legislative documents and build and maintain a strong relationship with children, families, staff and other internal and external stakeholders.

The Centre

Woodcrest Early Education Centre are located next door to Woodcrest College with our entrance on Commercial Drive in Springfield. Our centre has been rated as an Exceeding Centre by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). We can care for up to 265 children per day and offer a huge range of quality programs for our children such as bush kindy, healthy eating programs as well as language and music opportunities.

Must haves

• Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (minimum)
• Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and maintain a professional manner in the workplace
• Have a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
• Current First Aid, CPR & Asthmas and Anaphylaxis certificate
• Current Blue Card
• Previous experience as an Assistant Director essential
• Above all be passionate about living a healthy lifestyle as this is imperative to be a role model for the children in our care
