Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily based out of Riverside, California. Travel will be expected between store locations from time to time. The amount and frequency will vary depending on business needs. The Company will endeavor to keep the travel as minimal as possible.

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of IT systems, networks, and all other business-related electronics/peripherals. This means providing robust technical assistance and support to individuals using these systems as well as serving as liaison between the Company and any outside support necessary to maintain the business? electronic/network infrastructure. Additionally, this role will be expected to ensure the accuracy of prices within the Company?s inventory management system. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a human-centric approach to supporting our retail operations.

Responsibilities:
? Provide technical support to end users at multiple store locations, including hardware, software, and networking issues. This may require implementing routine in-person training sessions.

? Troubleshoot and resolve computer and system-related problems, escalating complex issues to the appropriate business / system support contacts, if necessary

? Maintain and update the inventory management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information.

? Collaborate with store managers and employees to verify price accuracy within the system and make necessary corrections.

? Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system cleanups, data backups, and antivirus scans.

? Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity.

? Maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet of all Company electronic devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

? Examples of vital information to include in the device spreadsheet:

? Device name/model

? Serial number

? Asset tag/Company assigned ID

? User assigned to the device

? Purchase / Refurbishment date and warranty information

? Software licenses and versions

? Network configurations (IP address, subnet mask, DNS settings, etc.)

? Maintenance history and service records

? Note: The device spreadsheet is crucial for tracking and managing company assets efficiently. It ensures proper maintenance, accurate inventory control, and helps in identifying hardware/software upgrades or replacements as necessary.

? Maintain the ?IT Continuity Book?. This book will contain:
? Points of Contact for all relevant outside agencies related to Company infrastructure.

? Important phrases and/or passwords relevant to Company infrastructure

? Comprehensive troubleshooting steps for basic IT problems

? A section for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

? A glossary of common terms unique (or semi-unique) to this Company

? Assist with the setup and configuration of new computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.

? Provide training to employees on basic IT processes and procedures, including data entry and system usage.

? Participate in regular (generally weekly) meetings (sometimes in person but generally electronically) with Store Managers and relevant corporate staff.

? Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.

Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor?s degree in a related field preferred

? Previous experience in an IT support role, preferably in a retail or multi-location environment

? Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications

? Familiarity with inventory management systems and pricing structures, preferred

? Proficiency in troubleshooting common IT issues, both hardware and software-related

? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail

? Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist and train end users

? Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

? Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols is a plus

Salary Range:
The salary range for the IT Support Specialist position supporting our small multistore retail chain in California is $18.75 to $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and employee discounts. This position will also include compensation for fuel and personal cell phone usage.

? The provided salary range is an estimation and may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the specific requirements of each store location.

? Cell and fuel compensation will be provided on the employee?s paycheck based on a reasonable and agreed upon amount. This regular additional pay will be in lieu of mileage reimbursement or Company provided cell phone.

o The exception to this will be any travel requested of the employee beyond routine business travel laid out in this job description.
