Role Purpose:

Provide engineering support through all phases of product development and manufacturing. This role will be responsible for understanding customers’ needs and translating them into technical solutions using our products and manufacturing capabilities. The candidate will also work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to provide technical expertise, support, and guidance throughout the sales process and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Technical consultation: Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and product applications. Provide technical guidance and expertise on our products and capabilities to commercial team and customers. Assist customers to identify the best products to meet their needs.
• 
  Solution design and development: Develop technical solutions that leverage our products and capabilities to address customer challenges. Collaborate with Chemical R&D and Manufacturing to develop and launch new products to market.
• 
  Sales support: Collaborate with commercial team in pre-sales activities, including attending customer meetings, participating in product presentations, and answering technical questions. Assist in creating proposals, RFQ responses, cost evaluation, and technical documentation to support the sales process.
• 
  Project implementation: Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful product launch and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation. Provide technical support during project planning, deployment, and post-implementation phases. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the implementation process.

  Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional technical support, timely responses to inquiries, and proactive communication. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their ongoing needs and identifying opportunities for additional product or capability offerings.

  Product feedback and improvement: Gather customer feedback and insights to contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and capabilities. Collaborate with the Chemical R&D team to communicate customer requirements and provide feedback on product enhancements.

  Knowledge sharing and training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders on the features, functionality, and best practices of our products and capabilities. Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience as an Applications Engineer, Product Engineer, or in a similar technical customer-facing role.

• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex products and solutions. Experience with chemical processing or machinery is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer requirements and provide creative and practical solutions.
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, conferences, or industry events.
• Knowledge of polyurethane design parameters, tool design or manufacturing is a plus

• Ability to interpret CAD drawings, specifications, and math data
• Experienced with concept of design for cost and design for manufacturing.
