Women in Sport Hiring for Finance Officer Job at London, England Full Time

We are looking for a reliable Finance Officer who is capable and confident to keep our finance process running smoothly over the next three months as we go through a period of change. You will manage the day-to-day finance process and operations of Women in Sport with the support of the Head of Finance & Operations.

As part of a small finance and operations team you will be the main point of contact within the organisation for all day to day finance questions and queries from the team. We are looking for someone who is flexible, a fast learner and can manage their own workload and priorities. Ideally we would like you to have experience within a charity finance function.

Main responsibilities are:
Run the month end processes and maintain accounting records for the organisation, including posting invoices and journals to our Sage 50 accounts system.

Update and run the monthly management account and cost centre templates, liaising with budget holders to resolve queries.

Carry out reconciliation of bank accounts, balance sheet and control accounts.

Prepare Payroll for an external supplier.

Update and maintain pension payments and reconciliations.

Carry out payment runs and credit card processing

Supporting the team with financial process and procedures such as managing credit cards, raising purchase orders etc

What we’re looking for from you:
Financial systems and process experience especially SAGE 50 and charity accounting.

IT literate with knowledge of all Microsoft packages, especially advanced knowledge of excel.

Experience of working in a close knit team and of making best use of skills, talent and resources.

Optimistic energetic and with the ability to use numbers and process to serve our purpose
