About the position:

The position provides an ideal opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic student who would like to complement their tertiary studies with first-hand professional exposure and development.

Our Undergraduate Development Program (UDP) offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of financial and accounting functions while continuing your studies such as:

• Learn, develop, and implement accounting and financial technical skills to provide assistance to managers and senior accountants to meet a wide variety of financial tasks.
• Gain a broad grounding in all facets of financial management operations.
• Use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Council’s systems to assist in performing accounting and financial services for Council and its stakeholders.
• Learn develop and implement professional interpersonal skills to address and overcome challenges in a collaborative and team environment.
• Work continuously in reviewing and improving processes in a team-based environment.
• Provide support services within the Finance Division.

Persons who have completed at least one year, but not more than half of a relevant degree or double degree course will be eligible for the Undergraduate Development Program (UDP).
