Wollaston Lake Lodge 2023
HOUSEKEEPER:
Wollaston Lake Lodge is an Orvis Endorsed catch and release fishing lodge in Northern Saskatchewan. For over 24 years, we have hosted world class fishing trips for our guests from the beginning of June until the end of August. On average there is about 50 guests in camp at a time and we will host up to 800 guests in a season.
We are currently looking to fill our summer 2023 positions! The 2023 position will run from the end of May to end of August. We offer a great way to earn and save money over the summer! You must be passionate about the outdoors and customer hospitality. Successful candidates must be able to work independently, part of a team, and must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for providing clean and inviting cabins for guests to come back to and relax after their day of fishing. Your duties will include making beds, changing sheets, changing and arranging towels, restocking toiletries, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and daily laundry services for our guests and our main lodge.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Learn and practice cleaning techniques and procedures
· Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in guest cabins, main lodge, and staff housing
· Clean and sanitize guest cabins including common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, wet bars and countertops
· Remove dirty glassware and replenish with clean glassware in guest cabins
· Launder, iron, and press guest and camp laundry on a daily basis
· Replenish toiletries and towels in guest cabins
· Clean windows in guest cabins and main lodge
· Clean and dust indoor and outdoor cabin furniture
· Clean and restock restrooms in camp and main lodge
· Notify Maintenance of necessary repairs
· Refill cabin water coolers
· Collect and dispose of trash
· Assist guests when necessary
· Keep the linen room stocked and laundered
· Keep main lodge and staff housing common areas clean and maintained
· Report cases of property damage to supervisors
· Clean, disinfect, and store all housekeeping equipment at the end of the shift
· Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
· Monitor and report the inventory of cleaning supplies
· Be on call to respond to housekeeping problems, such as laundry, spills and broken glass, replenishing, etc.
· Perform detailed deep cleans on a daily basis
QUALIFICATIONS
· Hospitality: 1 Year (Preferred)
· Cleaning: 1 Year (Preferred)
· Laundry Knowledge
· Ability to manage your time efficiently
· Work well unsupervised
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests
· Hard worker
· Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend for an entire 10-hour shift. Tasks require consistent use of both arms and legs.
· Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors and seasonal weather conditions
· Must be authorized to work in the Canada on a full-time basis for any employer
