Wisedocs is Looking for New Grad – Medical Documentation Specialist Full Time

Who we are:

We’re on a mission to make it easy and accessible for any company in the insurance, legal and medical space to understand medical documents quickly using AI. Every week, we process hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, saving our customers hours and hours of manual processing time, and helping them process medical claims much more quickly. This in turns help someone who is impacted by a medical claim receive faster communication and care.

Wisedocs is a fast-growing, seed stage startup, our team is made up of startup and scale-up veterans and we’re looking for talent that loves the entrepreneurial atmosphere as much as we do. You’ll be asked to work in a fast-moving environment, and to develop new expertise very quickly. About you:

If you have recently graduated or will be graduating in the upcoming month, and are detail oriented, efficient, have a high level of understanding when it comes to navigating medical information and are computer savvy, we want to meet you! This is a great opportunity to gain experience in medical documentation, what it takes to achieve results in a start up, and grow your career into other cross functional areas of a company. This is work from home position, however monthly travel to our Toronto office for training and team events is needed.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work closely with our Clinical Operations team and our QA team;
• Compare data with source documents, and detect technical and clinical errors
• Update data in our system tell the medical history of the claimant
• Directly contribute in our software training and machine learning procedures;
• Providing feedback on process improvement to build efficiency of our platform and products

What you’ll need:

• Completion of a related program in Health Studies
• A driven but easy-going personality. This is a role for someone who wants to be part of a bigger team and can also be self-directed with their own processing data
• Technical skills including high proficiency in typing and use of Office 365
• Hunger to learn and drive change
• Exceptional grammar, communication and writing skills across all forms of media
• An analytical nature with strengths in collecting, organization, and disseminating significant amounts of information with a high level of detail and accuracy
• A logical approach to problem solving with the instinct to follow or develop processes
• A team player who loves to collaborate – you understand that giving/getting feedback is crucial in your development and growth
• Extreme ownership: you find a problem, you bring the solution to the finish line.
