LIBRARY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Manitowoc Public Library, located in the city of Manitowoc (pop. 33,000), located on the shore of Lake Michigan, is seeking to fill the position of Library Executive Director. This is a department head level position. This position is responsible for all areas of leading and managing the Manitowoc Public Library. Work is performed under the direction of the Manitowoc Public Library Board of Trustees. Qualifications include Master?s degree from a library school program accredited by the American Library Association, as well as a Grade 1 Wisconsin Library Certification or eligibility to obtain Grade 1 Wisconsin Library Certification. Responsible for the operations of the library, and development and implementation of all services and programming. Provides overall vision and leadership to all employees. Responsible for supervising, coordinating, planning and directing the activities of staff, while maintaining high standards of library service.
