Position Overview

Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. is looking for an Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk for the Corporate Office in Dothan. This position is responsible for performing accounting and collection tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions.

Essential Job Functions

· Research and solve payment discrepancies

· Communicate potential problems/trends to managers

· Interact with accounting regarding accounts receivable

· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

· Obtaining lien waivers

· Contact customers when accounts are delinquent

· Send out Notice to Owner letters

· Maintain vendor files

· Provide supporting documentation for audits

· Assist with answering phones

· Daily Cash applications

· Performs other duties or special projects as assigned

Education and Experience

· 3-5 years accounts receivable experience

· Preferred experience with collections

· Knowledge of relevant accounting software; JD Edwards, Kofax, Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook

· Proficient in data entry and management

· Works well in a team environment

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods sitting or standing while working on a computer

Posted salary or pay compensation ranges are approximate and dependent on applicable experience and qualifications. Upper ranges are flexible.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
