We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner to bring strategic thinking, energy and a relentless focus on delivery to the acquisition of talent and resourcing requirements of a growing and complex service solutions provider which operates across the Aviation, Security and Construction Logistics sectors.

Wilson James has a strong brand which attracts candidates. You will be required to transform the Talent acquisition/Recruitment function, already a focus for investment with people and systems, enabling it to support HR in becoming a true strategic partner for the business.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will determine & guide the talent acquisition strategy which fulfils immediate recruitment needs and reliably sources the talent required to meet the company’s long-term goals, by establishing routes to sourcing & lead generation through networks, strategic outreach, and industry insight and influencing our Employee Value Proposition & positioning of our unique and strong brand in the talent marketplace.

You will carry out recruitment, talent & workforce planning with Managing Directors and the Operation, and define the requirement for advertising & social media presence to support, whilst directing on MI & analysis to help inform decision making across the entire onboarding pipeline.

  Essential Skills

• Able to understand and interpret business strategy and the impact it has on the people capacity and capability requirements for an organisation.
• The ability to manage and address complex recruitment and workforce planning issues by identifying capacity and capability gaps and developing end-to-end processes to address shortfalls.
• The ability to select from a variety of assessment and recruitment approaches based on their relative contributions to the outcome of the selection process and fit with organisational demands and culture.
• A track record of creating talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future organisational requirements.
• A proven track record as an HR specialist and practitioner, able to demonstrate an understanding of the legal implications of recruitment, diversity, equality, Health and Safety and other HR related legislation.
• Able to build and sustain effective working relationships that have an impact and influence across organisational boundaries including at senior levels.
• An established record of delivering change and introducing new ways of working, with the ability to challenge the status quo using initiative, creativity and innovative thinking.
• Experience of using and implementing digital solutions.
• An ability to recognise key dependencies and inter-dependencies within and across the core HR activities and engage with peers to ensure cross cutting initiatives are properly integrated across the HR function.
• Personal credibility as the leader of a function, with the ability to provide strong leadership, motivation, and direction for all members of the team.
• Experience of using statistical and financial information in relation to business performance to influence strategic management decisions.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting demands, resulting in timely, cost-effective delivery of desired outcomes.
• Experience of presenting business cases and/or policy initiatives at board level, shaping and delivering compelling arguments with confidence and authority.
• Resilience in the face of a wide variety of fast-moving, high-profile challenges, with the ability to operate at pace to respond to unforeseen demands and/or policy shifts.
