Wilson & Company, Inc, Engineers & Architects Hiring for Traffic Engineer at Phoenix, AZ Full Time

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects, is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ office. This person will work under the direction of a Senior Traffic Engineer as part of our national transportation planning and traffic engineering team, primarily serving state and local agency clients. This position will assist with a variety of projects to gain experience and perform evaluations in traffic operations, traffic simulation, and development/documentation.

Job Duties Include:

• Develop technical traffic analysis for highways, streets, and multi-modal facilities utilizing multiple software and programs as necessary.
• Perform technical traffic analysis to identify traffic operations and safety related deficiencies for all modes.
• Evaluate alternatives and document measures of effectiveness to recommend proposed improvements.
• Produce traffic s in multiple forms to document all analysis.
• Maintenance of Traffic – development and/or evaluation of alternatives to maintain traffic during construction of transportation improvements.
• Marketing and Business Development – Assist in the development of proposals to secure new business for traffic related work and as part of multi-discipline projects.

Required Skills

• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Understanding of the planning and project development process.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to assist other offices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Required Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD drafting programs preferred.
• Working knowledge of SYNCHRO/VISSIM/VISTRO/TransModeler/HCS traffic operations evaluation software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TransCAD (desired); VISTRO (desired); RODEL (desired).
• PTOE registration (preferred).
• RSP1 registration (preferred).
• Experience with safety studies, signing and striping.

Annual Salary Range: $88,000 – $152,000
