We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Willoughby City Council as a full time Library Programs Assistant (Creative and Digital) at our Library.

This role sits within the Community Connection and Learning team, one of five library teams. The team’s purpose is to develop, co-ordinate and run a wide range of programs and activities to support our community to connect, share and learn.

The Library Programs Assistant (Creative and Digital) role will see you contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality creative and digital programs and activities for the library community; and deliver excellent customer experiences for library users. Key responsibilities include:

• The development and delivery of high quality creative and digital programs and activities, and other library events
• Undertake administrative duties associated with programs and activities
• Contribute to excellent customer experiences for all library users, through customer-oriented processes, including program bookings and customer feedback
• Facilitate community-run events including working with volunteers
• Provide excellent customer service at service points and act as shift supervisor when required
• Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of strategic plans for the Library

Required qualifications, skills and experience include:

• HSC or equivalent
• Confidence in delivering creative and digital programs and activities
• Good communication skills –written, verbal and interpersonal – for a variety of audiences and media
• Good technology ability – technical equipment set-up and trouble-shooting; new technologies and software
• Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
• Strong commitment and confidence to deliver quality customer service
• Working with Children Check clearance
