The role sits within the Accounting Team responsible for servicing the Group’s operating business units and central teams. The team consists of qualified and non-qualified staff responsible for the Management Accounting and Financial Accounting of the Group. In addition, it acts as sponsor to a range of IT developments to improve the efficiency of reporting throughout the group. The team focuses on robust financial control whilst delivering first class service to the business.
As Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Team and taking ownership of a number of routine tasks and processes, including analysing transactions for tax purposes and preparing reports for the Board.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Develop a close working relationship with the other members of the Accounting team.
- Take ownership and responsibility for routine tasks assigned.
- Complete a number of supplementary reports each month to a high level of accuracy, to support the Finance Team.
- Support the Accounting team in the provision of information from the various finance systems including ad hoc requests.
- Maintain accurate records and analyse transactions for tax purposes.
- Preparing reports for the Board at month end.
- Provide first class customer service to our internal customers and answer queries quickly and accurately.
- Liaise efficiently with operating business units of the Group, communicating clearly and concisely with non-finance staff.
- Ensure that sensitive information remains totally confidential.

- Previous experience of using Microsoft Excel
