WTW is recruiting for a Director position in our market-leading Integrated & Global Solutions (IGS) business based in London. IGS’ mission is to advise multinational companies’ headquarters on all aspects of pensions and benefits provided to workforces around the world. This covers both strategic and operational activity.

Multinational companies face a variety of different business, cultural, language and regulatory environments. Our IGS team helps these companies navigate these strategic and operational challenges in relation to pensions, benefits and employment structures. We advise multinational companies on certain specialist topics where I&GS has unique experience, and we also act as a single point of contact to help solve client questions where we draw on the expertise of all our colleagues from around the world.
The Role
This role will entail providing strategic and other consulting advice to the Headquarters HR, Finance and Risk teams of our multinational clients as it relates to the management of global employee benefits programs. In particular, you can expect to lead the strategic delivery of global governance and benefits financing projects and to use client relationships to generate new opportunities for WTW. Specifically, in this role you would be expected to perform some or, all of the following activities:
Lead complex multi-country benefits consulting projects for multinational clients, such as global governance, setting broader strategy, benchmarking, design, ongoing support to HQ benefits committees, merger & acquisition activity, provider selection and global benefits management.
A specialist focus in advising on global benefit financing and risk management structures such as multinational pooling, global underwriting and captive programs, as well as supporting broader WTW team building and delivery of services in this area and leveraging knowledge to colleagues.
Be the face to corporate HR, Finance and Risk for a set of clients who engage us for global benefits projects
Lead diverse client teams to deliver advice to the headquarters of our multinational clients on employee benefit matters around the world. This includes working in broad teams from across WTW to support on the IGS elements of wider client engagements.
Work closely with Global Client Relationship Directors (CRDs)/local CRDs to develop and manage relationships with key buyers at Corporate and grow local and HQ client revenue.
Keep abreast of changes in legislation, market practice or otherwise, identification of issues and process improvements, proactively supporting and clients in addressing these.
Support the use of WTW technology to help clients to maximize the value from the information collected.
Support on intellectual capital development and new business generation, especially as it relates to benefit financing services.
Deal with client delivery issues that may arise, and escalate as appropriate
Ensure the wider client team is kept appraised of issues and brought into conversations as necessary
The Requirements
Experience of selling and advising on international benefit topics including benefits strategy, benefit reviews and consolidation
Experience of selling and operating benefits financing structures such as pooling, global underwriting and captives
A keen interest in the international benefits arena and comfortable working in a global environment.
Understands the nuances of working across borders, with different cultures and with multinational organizations.
Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in teams, including remotely with clients and colleagues in other countries.
An ability to engage in a consulting relationship with clients at the headquarters and local country level.
Strong desire to deliver to clients high quality results, consistently and a proactive approach to working with clients.
An ability to build a network with client contacts and WTW colleagues around the world.
A positive and friendly approach to work.
A keen desire to learn.
