William Adams Hiring for Senior Finance Systems Accountant Job at Australia Full Time

Here is your opportunity to come and join the William Adams Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Due to an internal transfer, we are now looking for a highly motivated, experienced Accountant to join the team as a Senior Finance Systems Accountant.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly into the Accounting Systems Manager this is an extremely critical role within our business and will require a very high level of technical ability. What a typical day in this role will look like:

• Managing and maintaining the Financial Systems and all key system interfaces/reporting systems
• Involvement in several ongoing projects ranging from routine upgrades, maintenance, automation, process improvement and streamlining the financial process
• Administering the annual company budget process and maintaining the budget model in Cognos Enterprise Planning
• Working closely with our IS team to maintain the stability of the financial system
• Ongoing functional support and training to our end-users
• Adhoc requests for information and analysis from various business units
• Complying with all company safety, health and environment procedures

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will come from a Systems Accounting background where you have been the key point of contact for finance systems in the organisation. You will be a very strong technical accountant with a real passion for systems, but on the other hand, really enjoy working with end-users and offering exceptional customer support.

What we are looking for:

• High level of systems accounting experience
• CPA/CA qualified with strong systems and technical background
• Experience working with and a demonstrated knowledge of SAP (or equivalent)
• Cognos Enterprise Planning or equivalent experience
• SQL knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience with system analysis with the ability to identify data patterns
• High-level attention to detail
• Confident in dealing with various stakeholders and ability to train other staff
