ABOUT WILKINSON SCHOOL

• One-of-a-kind school on the coast near Half Moon Bay, CA, is searching for one highly-skilled, energetic and experienced Kindergarten teacher for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
• Small school environment: enrollment of 45-55 JK-8th grade students in four classrooms, each class composed of 2 or 3 consecutive grade levels

JOB SUMMARY:

• Full time for elementary classroom -Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten
• Core classroom teacher daily 7:45a-3:45p
• Responsible for leading and planning curriculum and daily academic activities
• Cards (4 x/year) and teacher conferences (2 x year)
• Attend staff meeting every Friday and other PD days throughout the year
• Plan and attend field trips and weekly hikes or enrichment activities
• Contribute and participate in various school events throughout the year including Open Houses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be highly personable and have a welcoming presence
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (2+years of teaching experience preferred).
• Experience teaching students in early childhood or in an elementary school
• Excellent communication skills, with parents, children and colleagues, in conjunction with strong organization skills
• Experience with Google docs or Google Classroom
• Value strong relationships with each student and staff members
