Requirements and Responsibilities
Accountant II will assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues
This position may also help with other accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to:
· Coordinate the semi-monthly payroll processing for 300 US employees
· Analyze technical payroll set-up requirements
· Process union benefit reports
· Work on received mails and route invoices for validation
· Ensure coding and entering of invoices
· Validate invoices for payment and prints out checks
· Gather checks and invoices together for endorsement
· Render assistance with the use of phone setups and utilities for periodic sales
· Credit card reconciliations
· Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and AP transactions
· Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers
· Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
