Wilderness Place Lodge, Alaska Hiring for Fishing / River Adventure Guide at Alaska Full Time

We are looking for kind-hearted, hard working people to join our Alaska fishing/river guide staff for summer, 2023!  We offer round-trip travel stipend from your home to Alaska, all lodging and meals for the summer, salary plus tips and include all gear for those you will be guiding! 

Wilderness Place Lodge is one of the highest reviewed lodges in Alaska due to our family atmosphere, our kind and courteous staff members, our inclusive environment and personal touch! 

Our guides operate jet boats and oar rafts on our remote clear water river. Guides should have a personable character, passionate, energetic + knowledge of basic spin and fly fishing skills, past experience operating powerboats, tiller outboards and/or jet drive outboard motors/john boats.  Experience oaring rafts or drift boats is also preferred. 1st aid and Cpr qualification is required and is part of gaining your Alaska western waters Coast Guard license which we help you to obtain. The “OUPV” or “6-pack” license is required to guide on Alaska’s waterways. We host wide array of fishermen and women from around the world. Our home river is one of Alaska’s finest all-around river systems with all species of pacific salmon and large native rainbow trout.  We also fish a nearby lake chain for northern pike and conduct fly-out day floats via our remote outpost lake cabin. The key to a successful guide is being able to enjoy the atmosphere and share the memories with your clients. We focus on character first! We provide all training and further perks for our summer guide staff. Please send resumes by email and at least 2 character references.
