Wildanet Ltd Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Redruth, England Full Time

The primary purpose of the role is maintaining the finance and accounting records of the company using Sage Business Cloud and be responsible for the efficient and effective filing of key company documents. (This will change to MS Dynamics after a new systems implementation).

The role will also provide cover for some elements of the office facilities, such as looking ordering office sundries, health and safety and office procedures.

You will be flexible to undertake other ad hoc duties as the company develops.

Month end routines will require the creation and posting of journals, but the preparation of management accounts and year end accounts will be the responsibility of the Financial Controller.

• Assist in implementation of a new ERP system.
• Work closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller to ensure smooth operation of all financial matters.
• Support the Management Accountant inputting into the accounts package purchase ledgers & Sales Ledger invoices.
• Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices.
• Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.
• Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required.
• Ensure swift payment of invoices.
• Resolution of finance related queries.

You have responsibilities for First Aid, Fire Warden and Health & Safety with relevant training provided.

About You: *

You will have good bookkeeping and record maintenance skills plus a good understanding of VAT and Payroll routines which you will be responsible for preparing.

• the confidence to work on your own
• You will have at least 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance department
• Awareness of the provisions of the Data Protection Act and be able to apply these within the organisation
• Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good keyboard skills
• Good communication and listening skills
• Good organisational skills used in planning own work
• AAT or Part AAT Qualification (preferred).
