Wight & Company, an award winning, integrated architecture, engineering and construction firm, based in Darien, Illinois, has a tremendous opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer- Mechanical.

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual who will to the Director of MEP Engineering.

Responsibilities :

• Communicate with / present to clients regarding projects
• Head up multiple MEP projects
• Mentor / train mechanical engineers / designers
• Independently design projects from schematic design through project completion
• Produce detailed design documents and specifications

Requirements :

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Arch / Engineering required
• 4+ years of HVAC engineering experience
• Good working knowledge of IMC and IECC
• Willingness to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST or other programs a plus
• Good understanding of ASHRAE Standards, especially 55, 90.1 & 62.1
• Experience in projects with sustainable solutions and LEED certifications a plus
• PE. license is a plus
• REVIT MEP skills a plus
• Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of clients
