Whitespace Hiring for Freelance QA Tester Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

We’re looking to bolster our QA team through a busy period from mid-January 2022 and likely through to early March. You’ll work closely with our QA testers, Developers, Product Managers and Account Managers to provide support in triaging issues raised by our clients, as well as testing the fixes produced by our Development team.

You should be a capable and experienced professional with 2+ years of quality assurance testing web sites or web apps. You should have experience of quality assurance testing web sites or web apps to the very highest standards. Experience of working with automated test setups may be beneficial but is not essential.

This role will entail working as an extension of our Edinburgh-based team but may be undertaken entirely remotely. You should however be based in the UK.

Skills Required

• Able to analyse what websites should do and if they are doing it right
• Understanding of web development principles
• Skilled at identifying and documenting bugs
• Working with project tracking software (we use Jira/Basecamp)
• Device and browser testing
• Accessibility testing
• CMS knowledge
• Working understanding of caching and performance concepts
• A keen eye for detail
• Organised and efficient
• Excellent English written and verbal communication
