About The Roles

Due to business growth Whitehaven Coal have an exciting two (2) new opportunities for skilled Senior Recruitment Business Partners for QLD and NSW to join our high performing recruitment team. This is an incredible opportunity to take your recruitment leadership experience to the next level in an Internal recruitment role.

What You’ll Do

In this newly created role you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 6 Recruitment business partners and 2 Talent Coordinator to deliver exceptional recruitment outcomes for our QLD and NSW based Operations. Some of the key deliverables of this important role will be:

• Managing a small portfolio of roles
• People leadership, importantly motivating your team toward their goals and targets and celebrate in their wins
• Engage and ensure continued loyalty and commitment to your stakeholders to deliver new talent to the business
• Be responsible for all ing relating to your team and portfolio
• Be able to manage a geographically spread team
• Ensure set targets and KPI’s are achieved
• Work closely with the broader People & Culture team to ensure a consistent approach

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in the role you will:

• Previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience with the ability to lead a team
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Driven to succeed and able to achieve and exceed targets/KPIs
• High level of attention to detail
• Be able to travel interstate as required on a regular basis to meet with stakeholders
• Be resilient & adaptable in an ever-changing environment
• Be a well versed in sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and able to develop compelling sourcing strategies
• Be a confident communicator that can use market data and trends to help inform & influence stakeholders in the recruitment process
• Be a proactive recruiter who enjoys the challenge of sourcing candidates and building talent pools in a difficult market
• Have previous experience recruiting in the resource, engineering or heavy industry sectors
